Hurghada a 'good value' destination say tourism bosses
There is good news for those travelling in Hurghada in the next few months as tourism bosses say that you will get far more for your money than many other travel locations.
Egypt has long had a reputation as good value holidays, but it seems this reputation has been more deserved with prices in many other areas on the way up.
Khaled Ramy is the UK and Ireland director of the Egyptian State Tourist Office. He says "When you travel to Egypt you pay for four or five-star hotels, but you get more than anywhere else in the world".
Tourism bosses are also keen to point out that the easy access to Egypt from Uk airports is helping travellers reach their destination as quickly and cheaply as possible.
Manchester to Hurghada Flights from Jet2.com
Low cost carrier, Jet2.com has launched flights to Hurghada from Manchester. Services to the Egyptian city, which is the airline’s 50th destination, will depart from 15 October 2010 and can be booked immediately.
"The airline's 50th route is a considerable milestone in our history and I'm delighted that our customers in the North West will be able to take advantage of direct flights to Hurghada and the stunning Red Sea coast line,” said Jet2 boss Philip Meeson.
“It is an extremely popular destination offering year-round sunshine, dazzling beaches and world-class diving and since it sits outside the Euro-Zone, offers fantastic value to those sun-seekers wanting to stretch their budgets that little bit further. “
Manchester Airport has firmly cemented itself as a key base for Jet2.com which has seen its operations from the airport grow by 27% over the past year.
The low fare the airline carries more than one million passengers every year from Manchester with more than 200 flights departing per week.
